Where Families Gather

Creating Third Spaces at Trackers

Dear Trackers Families,

Spring is coming, and I’ve already noticed the flowers waking up. At Trackers we are also beginning to shape something new: the Trackers Lodge. Our vision is a neighborhood gathering place where families connect, kids roam in feral packs with friends, and everyone can enjoy archery, crafts, play spaces, music, food, and more.

We are still in the design phase, but we hope to begin by transforming our SE Portland location into a test site for the Sellwood-Brooklyn neighborhood. Over time we imagine bringing the idea into our wilderness sites, where summer weekends could someday feel like a Trackers Forest Family Reunion. Over the coming months, you’ll start to see the first pieces of that vision appear.

What’s Happening Now?

While the Lodge is still taking shape, the spirit of it is already alive. Families are beginning to gather for skills, stories, and a little shared adventure. Here are a few ways to join in this spring.

FREE Trackers Skills Night begins this Thursday, March 5. Each week families gather for outdoor skills, good company, and occasional potluck. Every fourth week also includes our beloved Goblin Market, where kids trade marbles, trinkets, and small found treasures in a lively little marketplace. RSVP for Skills Night ››

$5 Entry Open Archery Range also runs during Skills Night. For $5 per person, families can step onto the line and practice together. Gear rental is included, making it an easy way to try archery or refine your aim. Register for Open Range ››

FREE Trackers KidsCon 2026 arrives April 4 as a celebration of stories and creativity. Local children’s book and graphic novel creators read from their work and lead hands-on art projects. Families can try archery and other activities, and kids can hunt for weird goblin eggs before finishing the day trading treasures at our open Goblin Market. RSVP for KidsCon ››

Upcoming Program News!

Alongside these gatherings, we are also testing a few new program ideas and preparing for the adventures ahead this spring and summer.

NEW! Trackers Custom Camp is a new program for this summer. Groups of families reserve a Trackers Van with two expert Guides to design their own camp. Choose pickup site, activities, and hours. Families can choose how they divide tuition within their group. Because of the highly customized nature, this program has a limited number of weeks available. Explore Trackers Custom Camp ››

Upcoming Spring Break Camp begins March 23 and brings together many Trackers classics. Kids build shelters in the forest, practice wilderness survival, fish along the shoreline, meet animals on the farm, and dive into role-playing adventures with friends. Discover Spring Break ››

One last reminder as you plan ahead. We are now two weeks away from the end of the Super Early Summer Camp discount on March 20. If summer camps are part of your plans, this is the best time to secure your spots and $50 off camps.

Spring is waking up around us, and it feels good to see families gathering again. I hope to see many of you at Skills Night soon.

See you in the forest,

Molly Deis
